What is Assist Point
Assist Point by Yontoo Technology Inc is an adware program, that displays pop-up ads and advertisements in browser windows. It installs extension in Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. Ads are be shown as boxes or banners containing different coupons, as underlined keywords or pop-up ads. Ads can be distinguished as they are called “Assist Point Ads”. Although it is not a virus, Assist Point is classified as adware and should be removed from computer to avoid more serious problems.

Cannot uninstall Assist Point
In some cases Assist Point won’t uninstall and gives you message that “You do not have sufficient access to uninstall Assist Point. Please, contact your system administrator” when you try to remove it from Control Panel or “Access denied” error when removing Assist Point folder and files. This happens, because file AssistPoint.dll or service does not allow you to do it. In this case I will recommend you to use SpyHunter 5 or Malwarebytes or uninstall Assist Point in Safe Mode. To boot in Safe Mode do the following:
- Reboot your computer.
- While it starts booting press F8 button.
- This will open Advanced Boot Options menu.
- Choose Safe Mode and wait until Windows loads.
- Go to Control Panel > Uninstall a program and remove Assist Point

Remove Assist Point add-on from your browsers
Removing Assist Point from Control Panel often does not bring desired effect. It is browser extension and it may still be active in Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. Here are instructions on how to remove Assist Point extension from your browsers manually.
Google Chrome:

- In address box type (or copy-paste)

Note: There is no feature to remove browser extensions from browser in latest version of Internet Explorer. To remove Assist Point from Internet Explorer, please, perform instructions for uninstalling program from Control Panel. To disable Assist Point, please, do the following:
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Click on gear/asterisk icon in the top-right corner.
- In opened menu Manage Add-ons.
- Select Toolbars and Extensions.
- Click Disable Assist Point.
Opera Browser:
Generally, Assist Point does not install in Opera browser however you can always double check. Do the following:
- Start Opera browser.
- Go to Tools > Extensions > Manage Extensions.
- Find Assist Point extension.
- Click Uninstall button.
