What is Fuq.com

Fuq.com is a malicious redirect classified as a browser hijacker that aggressively transmits people to adult-based pages. It has been spotted targetting solely Mac users, however, there are various similar pieces that pursue other operating systems either. The very first symptom that may hint at the presence of some Unwanted Application installed on your computer is unexpected browser changes that alter the default homepage to http:/www.fuq.com and internal settings as a result. Fuq.com is designed to promote porn content which is a crafty way to tantalize and curb gullible users. However, these redirects lead to tremendous information leaks like passwords, credentials, IP addresses, geolocations, and other data that can be transferred to third parties for enriching their wallets. These nasty extortionists are capable of tracking down browsing activity, therefore, putting your data at a huge risk. If you constantly see Fuq.com redirects at the start of the browser, then this is a significant ring for removing this dangerous application from your computer.

As mentioned, constant redirects and permanent browser changes may be a result of malware modifying system configurations for its needs. Most of the time it is adware that can be bundled alongside other freeware that can be downloaded from shady websites. The intended installation often leads to stealthy penetration of additional software that can inflict your data substantially. This is why it is strongly recommended to install licensed software from either official or trusted resources. Luckily, these kinds of infections are easily recoverable, specifically with a set of multiple tools we have prepared in this article to combat this annoying redirect.
