What is SalesPrize

SalesPrize is categorized as an unwanted extension developed for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer. It is claimed to help users shop faster and better by seeing price differences, sales, and various deals. Unfortunately, SalesPrize shows these banners in an intrusive and irritating manner. You can see different tags under the banners like “Powered by SalesPrize”, “Brought to you by SalesPrize”, “You’ve received a premium offer from SalesPrize” or “Ads by SalesPrize”. Advertisements spread by SalesPrize can be linked with suspicious or even dangerous resources that promote malware or collect your personal data. The constant appearance of SalePrize ads means that your computer is being configured with adware software. This makes the deletion of SalesPrize harder because most users do not possess enough information on how it works. Therefore, to delete it from your computer, we recommend following our tutorial below.

How SalesPrize infected your computer

Unwanted extensions like SalesPrize are usually adware-supported. This means that there is an unwanted program installed on your system, which changes the browser settings. Such programs are often spread via deceptive distribution techniques like “bundling”. The idea is very simple – to add additional apps to pirated or cracked software. Because this software is free, developers have to find a way to earn money. Oftentimes, they do not care about the quality of advertised content, and this is the reason there is so much atrocious software spread around the whole web. Users download the above-mentioned, go through the setup, and get infected with some unpleasant program as a result bringing profit to cybercriminals. In order to avoid it, the most important advice to give is to be more careful and attentive whilst using freeware downloads. Always check “Advanced/Custom” or any additional sections hidden inside of the installation process. Remember that being aware will be the best protection you can ever achieve.
