How Win Tonic infected your PC

Win Tonic is distributed via fake error messages and browser pop-ups, like one shown below, stating that your computer is severely infected or has performance problems. This scares novice users and makes them download and purchase the program. However, the computer may not have proclaimed problems. Pop-ups usually come from lp.pctonics.com domain, that is known to be the official website of Win Tonic. As this website is already blocked by some internet security programs, they also use domains wintonic.net, winactiv.com and others. Usually, such ads are used in low-quality advertising networks. In order to remove Win Tonic from the computer and protect it from unwanted apps like this, please, use SpyHunter 5 or Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
